HOLE #8
Uphill par 3 to a well-bunkered green and a looming water hazard to the left!

Tough par 3 with most players hitting a mid to long iron into the green. Players should be sure to avoid the deep right hand bunker and the hazards to the left at all costs!

HOLE #8
Great finish to the front nine with a medium length par 4. 9th hole is a dogleg to left with a well-bunkered fairway and green to add to the difficulty of the hole.

HOW TO PLAY

A well-placed driver will give the player a good shot at hitting the green with a mid-iron. Be sure not to hit tee shot too far as the fairway narrows giving way to the live oaks through the fairway!

HOLE #12
This medium length par 5 begins our home stretch but also is one of the more picturesque holes on the west course.

Players should favor the right side of the fairway to get the best angle into the green on their approach shot. hit the ball too far left and the player could be blocked out for their third shot to the green.

Our second par 5 on the back lay way to your first view of the Colleton River. This medium length hole does give the longer hitter the advantage but a well-placed approach will lead to and easy third shot and another good chance for birdie.

HOLE #14
Medium length par 3 hole with beautiful great views of the Colleton River

HOW TO PLAY

This medium length par 3 players differently each and every day due to the wind. players should take caution that although the green is generous, the salt marsh looms down the entire left side for those who draw the ball!.

HOLE #15
Our second hardest hole on the West Course, hole # 15 requires an accurate tee shot and then a well struck second shot to reach the green on this long par 4. any deviation from the center of the fairway brings in a myriad of hazards that make par a very good score on this hole.

HOLE #16
Short par 3 hole but demands accuracy and distance control.

HOW TO PLAY

Don't let the yardage fool you...swirling wind, deep bunkers and a shallow green can cause havoc to players of every skill level.

HOLE #17
Mid-length par 4 that requires a tee shot over water and then a well placed second shot to another undulating green!

HOW TO PLAY

Driver or three wood is the play here. Once over the water pick your line carefully...especially when the flag is back right.

HOLE #18
A great finishing hole that combines all the elements that the west course offers. A challenging tee shot over salt marsh and naturalized sand areas, combined with a long approach that gives the player very little room for error to an elevated green. A great finish to a fantastic 18 holes of golf.

HOW TO PLAY

A driver is definitely the play here. Take the line at the lone palm tree and stay the course. Once in the fairway, the player will be challenged with a long iron approach to an elevated green with a false front. Make sure to hit your mark or stay short for a better chance to get up and down. Good luck!
